Mondi links I-Plan to SAP |

October 2009 Mondi is linking its successful I-Plan system to SAP as part of a business improvement project. SAP will replace an in-house system for transaction processing, but I-Plan will continue to be used rather than SAP's SCM tools. After an extensive evaluation of the alternatives of reverting to spreadsheets or implementing SAP SCM, Mondi concluded that the best solution for their supply chain planning needs was to continue using I-plan.
I-Plan has been part of the award-winning supply chain improvement project that Mondi initiated in 2004. Since then the organisation has been through many changes necessitated by the harsh business environment for business papers. I-Plan has been used to support the changes in supply chain planning necessitated by the rationalisation of Mondi's supply chain network. I-Plan will now be used for demand planning and sales and operations planning, with the results driving order management and replenishment processes in SAP. |
