Trading Science customers are located on 3 continents covering 29 production sites.  Among our customers are the following:

Potlatch – Idaho, USA.  Potlatch produces packaging board for food & drink industries.  They have 3 paper machines in 2 mills in the USA.  I-Plan is used for sales forecasting and then allocation of demand across the machines based on production capacity.  Potlatch say that improved visibility of the balance of supply and demand in future months gives them the ability to improve customer service and bid for higher value business.

Nordenia – Missouri, USA. Nordenia operates in the growing extruded film business supplying major consumer goods companies where high quality and service are mandatory.  Nordenia uses I-Plan for developing forecasts with the sales teams.  These forecasts are then used in the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process to plan future capacity growth.  I-Plan’s multi-dimensional database hierarchy allows Nordenia to evaluate the capacity requirements for different stages of the production process.

Mondi Business Paper – Hausmening, Austria.  Mondi use I-Plan for an innovative VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) program.  I-Plan generates replenishment orders for customers who edit the forecasts themselves via secure access to I-Plan.  Mondi also use I-Plan for forecasting with more than 100 users for the whole business.  Forecasts are used in the Master Planning process, which has enabled them to realise profit improvements worth substantial sums of money.

m-real Office Papers Division – Helsinki, Finland. m-real are using I-Plan for planning across the Office Papers division of 3 mills.  I-Plan is being implemented in the central planning group in Amsterdam for Demand Planning and Master Planning across the division.  I-Plan is live in 2 of the 3 mills for replenishment planning and ATP/CTP, which enables them to accurately quote order delivery dates, which was not possible previously.  Orders taken in SAP are passed to i-Plan for inventory checking and scheduling before being booked into the mill planning systems.
